Good preparation above every room
Specification comes first
We match the pitch, structure and covering before installation begins.
Weatherproof connections
We integrate leadwork, roof edges and drainage instead of treating them later.
Accredited trade knowledge
Our CSCS accreditation supports a considered approach to complete roof builds.
A roof designed as a complete system
A new roof has to do more than look straight from the pavement. Its shape, pitch and supporting structure must suit the chosen covering and move rainwater safely away. We consider rafters or trusses, loading, membranes, ventilation and battens before the slates or tiles go on. Accurate setting out gives each layer the support and overlap it needs. We then integrate ridges, verges, valleys and drainage details so the finished roof works as one system rather than a collection of separate parts.

Joined carefully to the wider build
Extensions and new structures often bring several stages together at once. We coordinate the roofing work with safe access, weather protection and the wider building programme. Chimneys, walls, roof windows and changes in level need carefully formed junctions, while leadwork and roofline components must connect cleanly with the covering. Our National Federation of Roofing Contractors accreditation provides a clear quality point for a job where important details will soon be hidden from view.
Frequently asked questions
What decides which roof covering we can use?
We consider the roof pitch, structural loading, exposure and intended appearance. Some coverings need particular pitches or support. We review these points with the roof structure so the selected slate or tile suits the complete build-up.
Can you provide roof truss and carpentry work?
Yes. We carry out roof carpentry and roof truss work alongside the covering. The exact requirement depends on the design and existing construction, so we assess how the supporting timber connects with walls, membranes and battens.
How is a new roof kept dry during construction?
We plan the sequence around the structure, weather and safe access. Temporary protection may be needed while sections remain open. We aim to complete membranes, coverings and junctions in a logical order that limits unnecessary exposure.
